October is "because we love our seniors" month! Today's Senior Scientist Spotlight is Chloe Bechdoldt who is the daughter of Nancy and Brad Bechdoldt.

One thing that Chloe would do to change the world is to adopt animals from the shelter. She is interested in the medical field and potentially becoming a NICU Nurse.

We are so proud of Zaelynn Emmert for showing adaptability. Mr. Higgins nominated her when she joined the class in the middle of a lesson that took about a week to get through. She got notes from other students and worked hard to catch up. She did really well on the quiz to show how much her effort paid off.
We are so proud of Giana Johnson for showing adaptability. Ms. Thoms nominated her for completing a series of questions in class and then misunderstood the directions after making her unable to share her work with the rest of the class. Instead of getting mad, she quickly got to work on the questions again so she could share with the class. Great job not letting it get you down Giana!
We are so proud of Caeydnce Webb for showing adaptability. Mrs. Hanke nominated her for being able to fix the dryer when multiple other people were unable to.

Yesterday members from National Honors Society, Student Council, and FFA helped ORDC sort bottles that can be recycled in benches or picnic tables. Members sorted through 250lbs of caps yesterday! Thank you ORDC for allowing our students to come and help!

Third grade had an exciting week with Judy Moody Day on Thursday. We also took advantage of a beautiful Friday afternoon and completed our classwork outside.
The junior high classes had a great time on their trip to Cahokia Mounds! It was a beautiful day to be outside exploring!
