I want to congratulate the students involved in the Invent 2 Prevent program. A nationwide project put out by the Department of Homeland Security. This group has been working diligently on their project for months. Their hard work paid off yesterday when they took home first place in the state at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Our students authored a book, presented it to our 1-4th graders in an attempt to address school bullying. We competed yesterday in front of a panel of judges and took home a $5000 prize! Thank you to our students and Mr. Barbee for keeping our students on task and for coaching them to success. This is a huge accomplishment! We are very proud of you!
