This morning our school was alerted to the possibility of a threat. Our Crisis team acted without hesitation to call local law enforcement and our crisis team. In an effort to stop any danger, we conducted a thorough search of each junior high student that fit the description we had heard. We want to assure our families that all necessary steps are taken to ensure the safety of our students. After the investigation was concluded, we were secure in the decision to inform our families that our students are and will continue to be safe at school. We will continue to monitor the situation, with the intention of keeping our students and staff safe. We will continue to act in caution as we stay in a soft lockdown for the day. If you have any questions or concerns please alert local law enforcement or feel free to email or call the school. We also want to take the time to thank our police officers for assisting in the manner.
Reminder: Today is an 11:30 dismissal as we begin our Christmas Break. Pre-k will be dismissed at 11:00 and K-12 will be dismissed at 11:30. School will resume on January 3rd. Have a happy and safe holiday season!

This is a reminder that we are having our Christmas Program tonight for grades Pre-k-5 at 6 PM. Doors will open at 5:30 and students should arrive at least 15 minutes before the show. Please leave coats with parents and have students go directly to the small gym.

Four students participated in Senator Plummer's Youth Advisory Council at Kaskaskia's Vandalia location yesterday. They were grouped with other students from the district, and they all came up with policy proposals to present in Springfield in the spring.
Big thanks to Country Bob's for hosting our students for a tour! Mrs. Morris and Mrs. Radtke took a group of students to see how the company is run!

Tonights Jr High Boys Basketball game will be played at Sandoval HS. Sandovals JrH girls will be playing a Girls Varsity game vs Centralia St Mary's Trinity @ 5:30. After the girls varsity game our JV boys will play @ 6:15p then the Varsity will tip after the JV game.
