Yesterday Kelley Perotti from Top Youth Speakers came to Odin to speak with our K-6th grade students about kindness. Kelley told her testimony on how she was a kid that moved a lot and went to different schools. One school changed her life because students were kind and accepted her. Now, our students have been challenged by Kelley to complete a kindness journal and reach 5,000 acts of kindness in 15 days.
Kindness Challenge has started today!!

OHS proudly introduces the 2023 Parisian Prom Court! Coronation will be held Saturday, April 29 at 7:00 PM in Ples H. Gymnasium. Doors will open at 6:30 PM. Admissions will be accepted at the door: Adults $3, Students $2, and Free for 65 and older.

REMINDER : Today is an 11:30 dismissal day. There are NO Pre-k classes. K-12 will be dismissed at 11:30.

These 5 8th Grade FFA members ventured to Springfield today for the first ever Illinois FFA Discovery Junior High Conference. Students learned about ag careers, FFA opportunities, production agriculture with simulators, and team building strategies.
Mr. Capps even got the opportunity to present the team building workshop with one of his Ag Teacher colleagues.





Our 6th grade had a great time today at Safety Day. Thank you to Mr. Higgins for taking them on this trip!







Due to the impending rain forecasted for this afternoon, the high school baseball game that was scheduled to be played in Odin today has been canceled.

REMINDER: There are no Pre-K classes today, April 27th due to preschool screenings for new students. And there are no Pre-K classes on Friday, April 28th due to a teacher's inservice.

Patoka School with be hosting their annual High School Athletic/Academic banquet on Thursday, May 11th at 6:30PM. The evening will start with a catered dinner followed by awards. If your student participates in a Patoka hosted sport (HS Basketball, HS Cheer, HS Track, or HS Volleyball), and you plan to attend the banquet, please call Ms. Sam at Odin School (618-740-4183) by Friday, April 28th to RSVP. Attendees MUST RSVP so Patoka school can have an accurate head count.

REMINDER : Today is a our Wednesday 2:15 dismissal day. Pre-k will be dismissed at 1:45. K-12 will be dismissed at a 2:15.

Parachute day! Our first and second graders made some amazing memories today.











We will be having a JH Cheerleading meeting with parents and girls that are interested in JH Cheerleading for next year. This will be for current 4th-7th grade girls. On May 3rd at 6pm. We will be discussing new uniforms, fundraisers, cheer camps and expectations for the cheerleaders for the upcoming year. This Saturday the Odin eSports team competed in Sectionals at Salem High School. Congrats on a great season and special thanks to our coach, Mr. Higgins!




Thank you to all of those who came out and supported the Class of 2023 seniors at the Odin vs Sandoval Alumni Basketball Game! It was a great turn out, and those alumni players still got it!
