
October is "because we love our seniors" month. Last week, we celebrated Violet Potter! She is the daughter of Shannon Potter and James Bullock. Violet's superhero name is Verbinia, and her superpower is teleportation. One thing she would change in the world would be to get rid of all negative emotions. She plans to take photography classes and build her portfolio.

Last week, we continued celebrating our seniors for "because we love our seniors" Month! Mathilda Paoli is the foreign exchange student of Holly and Brandon Moore! Her superpower is that she knows four languages! If she could change anything in the world, she would teach people how to have a better relationship with themselves. After graduation, she would like to go to a University to study tourism and communication. Mathilda would like to work in this field and become a flight attendant.

Red Ribbon Week starts tomorrow! All grades are encouraged to participate in the fun dress up days! Each student will be given a bracelet to show that they pledge to be drug free.

Today, the Odin Fire Department and Patches came by to teach us some fire safety! Thanks so much for making this a fun experience!








Today, our 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students participated in the largest outdoor classroom in the state of Illinois by attending the 49th annual Fort Massac Encampment. Our students learned about the fort that was held by four different nations and played an integral part in the French and Indian wars. They were able to see cannons, wooden replicas, and enjoyed root beer! What a great experience!








At the Central City Tournament, Odin - Patoka improved their season 4-1 winning the Consolation Championship with a 41-17 win over Mt. Vernon St. Mary's. Autumn Moore led the Eagles with 22 and Aubri Landreth added 10. Moore was selected to the All Tournament Team! Way to go Eagles!!

JH Boys Basketball practice has been canceled for today, October 12th. They will practice tomorrow, October 13th at 5:30PM.

CONGRATULATIONS to Odin Jr High Cross Country 8th grade runner Archer Bechdoldt. Archer finished 4th today at the OBC CROSS COUNTRY meet and he also qualified for this Saturday's State Cross Country meet at DuQuoin Fairgrounds... Good Luck Archer!!
