Prepare for your child's return to school by scheduling their school or sports physical at Salem Township Hospital Rural Health Clinic. Take advantage of discounted prices on select dates. School physicals will be available on July 28th, August 10th, and August 15th from 9 am to 5 pm for a fee of $35. Sports physicals will also be offered on July 25th, July 27th, and August 1st from 9 am to 5 pm for $25. To complete physicals, parents must be present to provide immunization records and sign physical forms. Walk in or call The Rural Health Clinic at 618-548-9502 to make an appointment on the specified days.
On July 6-7 the 2023-2024 Odin FFA Leadership Team participated in their summer Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT).
🔵July 6, the Leadership Team and Mr. Capps met at the school to understand what it means to be a chapter officer, planned our yearly activities and took our officer pictures. 🟡July 7, the Leadership Team headed to St. Louis for an industry tour with Baisch & Skinner, wholesale florist; and worked on team building and communication skills with an escape room at St. Louis Escape.
Lander's Towing and Collision has started a new program where they provide water to local schools. They call it Lander's Liquid Gold and we just got our shipment today. We really appreciate their support to our school and community. Thank you!

For those without internet access, those that need additional assistance with the online registration process, or those that need to physically bring in proof of residency, medical forms, etc, Odin Public School District #722 will be holding in-person registration from 12 pm- 5 pm on Wednesday, July 26, and Thursday, July 27, 2023.

June 13-15, eight FFA members and Mr. Capps traveled to Springfield to attend the 95th Annual Illinois FFA Convention. This experience was more than fulfilling to say the least - few new member’s at their first convention, representing our chapter on stage, making new friends and lasting memories, listened to Illinois Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton about the importance of Illinois agriculture and agricultural education is to our state, and watch our very own 2022-2023 Section 21 President Eric Wisely get elected to serve as the 2023-2024 Illinois FFA State Vice President.

Mrs. Frederick has been recognized by our state as a teacher of Special Recognition, one of only 50 teachers in our state. This is an amazing accomplishment. We all know she goes out of her way to ensure her students are cared for and are learning in new and fun ways but it is really great to see her recognized at the state level. We are so proud of her for her accomplishments and are very appreciative she is at Odin! Thank you!
We ended the year with our annual field day. We had bounce houses, dip-n-dots, cookout, tug of war, dodgeball tournament, mario kart and an all-around great Friday.
