Seven of our 8th and 10th grade FFA members attended the Illinois FFA Ground Zero Conference at SIUC on January 27-28. Ground Zero is a leadership and personal development conference for 8th-10th grade students, designed to help FFA members grow as individuals and in their FFA experiences. Members also enjoyed time at the Saluki After Party put on by the SIUC College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. While there Mr. Capps presented two Professional Development workshops to Illinois Agriculture Teachers on leadership curriculum, and how to apply for agriculture teacher awards.

SENIOR SHIRTS FOR SALE!! We are ordering shirts to wear on the class trip, but they also wanted them early to wear them for other senior events the second semester of the year (i.e. HS Basketball Senior Night, 2nd fundraiser, etc.) and they wanted to open them up to their families for purchase as well. If you would like to order one they are $20 a piece and can be ordered through the online store until Sunday, January 29th. If you need to order with cash, please let me know so I can get your sizes ordered. I have also attached a picture of what they look like. This is not a fundraiser, this is just a way to show support to the Senior Class of 2023. https://odinclass23.itemorder.com/shop/home/

Kindergarten had a great 100th day of school yesterday. They each brought 100 of a snack and they made a snack casserole. I can't say how it tasted but they loved it!

We had some great times yesterday with our 100th day of school! Here is first grade looking cool in their 100 shades. They found 100 bears, counted to 100 by fives and split 100 up into four parts of 25. I was amazed how many activities they did with the 100 theme.

Odin PSD has just been informed that the threat in Sandoval has been resolved. The soft lockdown has been lifted. The safety of our students, staff, and community is top priority, thank you all for your cooperation!

Odin PSD administration has just been made aware of a possible safety threat in Sandoval. Law enforcement has been contacted and while there is no known safety threat to our students, Odin School has been placed on a “soft lockdown.” During a soft lockdown, students will remain in the building, but will be allowed to change classes. Also, as a precautionary measure, we ask that any parents/visitors who come to the school, please call the school at 618-740-4183 upon your arrival before coming to the door. At this time, dismissal will remain as normal. Updates will be sent out if needed.
