Parents and guardians of returning students: To make registration move a little quicker, please log in to the parent portal of TeacherEase today through Friday (7/10) to update your personal information as well as emergency contacts on file for your child. This online registration DOES NOT replace the MANDATORY in person registration that will be held on 7/21, 7/22, and 7/23.

The Regal Eagle Award for July goes to one of my favorites people, Ashley Ambuehl. Ashley graduated from Odin in 2007. Since then she has accomplished many things to be proud of. She attended Kaskaskia and from there moved on to Murray State. Following college she became a Peace Corps volunteer and is currently a helicopter pilot for the United States Navy. Ashely has set a remarkable example for all of us Eagles and her reach has extended far beyond the boundaries of our nest. Thank you Ashley for all you have done and will do, we love you and stay safe.

2020-2021 School Supply Lists
Due to state and CDC guidelines, registration will look a little different this year. Odin Public School District #722 will be holding registration from 1pm- 6 pm on the following dates:
• Tuesday, July 21st: Last names A-H
• Wednesday, July 22nd: Last names J-R
• Thursday, July 23rd: Last names S-Z
All students in the Odin School District will need to register regardless of previous enrollment. Registration fees this year are $80 per student. Financial applications will be available at registration to determine whether registration fees may be waived. If your student is enrolled in Driver’s Education, there will be an additional $60 fee for that course (Driver’s Education fee cannot be waived).
Due to social distancing guidelines, we ask that, if possible, parents/guardians attend registration WITHOUT students/children. Due to ISBE guidelines, all individuals that enter the school building MUST wear a mask or face covering.
Attention Odin High School Class of 2020: Diplomas are in and ready to be picked up from the office. You may come to the school today through Thursday between 8:30 AM and 2:00 PM. If you can not come during those times, please call Ms. Sam at 618-775-8266 to make other arrangements.
While we do not know when registration will be or what it will look like just yet, we wanted to give you a head start on completing the mandated health requirements required by the state of Illinois. If your student requires medication to be administered during the school day, a new medication consent form must be signed by a physician and on file with the school for the current school year. Did you know families with children who received free or reduced meals at National School Lunch Program participating schools are eligible for Pandemic EBT benefits? The deadline to apply is June 30.
Any incoming seniors who are behind on credits may call the school and come pick up a Chromebook for credit recovery. Chromebooks may be picked up tomorrow, June 10th between 9:00 AM-2:00 PM from the main office. The deadline for incoming seniors to complete credit recovery is June 26, 2020. This is for INCOMING SENIORS ONLY.
We hope everyone's summer is off to a great start! If your student still has not picked up personal belongings from their lockers/desks, they must do so by this Friday, June 12, 2020. The foyer will remain unlocked today through Friday from 6:00 AM-2:00 PM. Unclaimed items will be disposed of unless other arrangements have been made with your student's teacher or the office.
**Preschool Screening Information for 2020 School Year**
As we do not yet know when we will be able to hold a physical PreK screening for the upcoming school year, we are asking families that are interested in the Odin PreK to fill out the Google Form to help us make the screening process as quick as possible. Our preschool program is grant funded by the state and children that are deemed most at risk are found eligible first. All of the information collected is required by the Preschool For All grant. Well here’s to being a bit nostalgic and maybe slightly cliché...but this month’s Regal Eagle award goes to the Senior class of 2020.
