In a press conference held today, Governor Pritzker issued a Stay-at-Home Order through April 7 as COVID-19 cases climb. Therefore, school will remain cancelled until that order is lifted. At this time, Odin PSD WILL continue to offer meals to students on the scheduled distribution days. Updates and announcements will continue to be posted on our school website, app, and Facebook page.
Due to lack of interest from families, and to minimize the risk of exposure, meal distribution for the week of 3/23/2020 will be as follows: Monday (3/23) from 11:00-12:30 and Friday (3/27) from 11:00-12:30. Each pack will contain 4 breakfast meals and 4 lunch meals. Buses will NOT be running. All meal packs must be picked up from Odin School during those times.
Back in December, students in 3rd and 4th grade created 4 fleece tie blankets for Project Linus. They spent countless hours cutting and tying blankets. This week, we got a thank you card from Sarah Bush Hospital Children's Department for all their hard work! Go Eagles!
Reminder: Today is a meal distribution day! Please look for the Odin School Bus at the following distribution sites during each delivery time. For the South end of town: 11:00-11:15 at Soper Road and Chouteau. 11:30-11:45 at Bethel Baptist Church. For the North end of town: 11:00-11:15 at the Gem Dandy on North Merritt St. If you live in town and would like to pick up meal packs from the school, you can do so from 11:00-12:30 on distribution days. School supplies/materials may also be picked up from the school during this time. Please call the office ahead of time so that supplies can be ready and waiting for you.
This is a great tool for talking to your younger children about COVID-19.

A significant and historical photo for those who love the history of Odin Schools. The school has retired only three basketball jerseys for boy's basketball. They are Wayne Heinrich ('70), Tyler Parrish ('09), Kenny Vaughn ('81). Here they all three are, standing in front of their jerseys in the hallway of the school.
