The HS baseball game at Odin vs CORLHS that was scheduled for Thursday has been moved to Wednesday (26th) @ 4:30pm
The Illinois Department of Health provided updated guidance on Thursday, August 20, describing when a student or staff member should be excluded from school. This guidance has been attached for your convenience. In this guidance, it describes how long the student or staff member must be quarantined and the process to return to school. It is important that you look through this chart to fully understand how students and staff must be quarantined in certain situations. Please note that if your student is experiencing ONE of the listed symptoms, they must be excluded from school. At this time, we are requesting students and staff who are forced to quarantine, but healthy enough to engage in the classroom remotely, continue to work remotely similar to our remote learning for all plan.
Odin Public School District will continue to closely monitor quarantined individual numbers as well as local COVID-19 case numbers to determine what phase of our return to school plan we will move to in the future.
As we work to reach our "new normal," the safety and health of students, staff and families is the top priority for everyone at Odin Public School District.

A message from Centralia Regional Library regarding updates on library services for students:
A few changes are in the works at Centralia Regional Library that may be of interest to your school.
The library has purchased additional mobile hotspot units for patrons to check out. We are also in the process of re-cataloging our laptop computers to checkout for off-site use. Our thoughts in doing this is to have these units available for students that may need the technology if they are taking virtual classes at any time during the school year.
As you probably know, our library card can be used for ALL of our services, both on-site and online. Before issuing cards to minors, we require parents to sign a registration form, with parent ID information. Registration forms are available at the Centralia Regional Library.
In the past we could only issue free cards to those who lived within the boundaries of our library district. In June, the Governor signed HB 2096, which included the Cards for Kids Act. This act states that nonresident fees shall not be charged to a nonresident student in an unincorporated area whose household falls at or below the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Income Eligibility Guidelines. This gives us the legal right to issue free cards to students who meet the requirements even if they do not live in our library district.
For questions , or more information regarding library services, please contact the Centralia Regional Library at 618-532-5222.
