School Closure Update: Today Governor Pritzker extended the school closure mandate through April 30, 2020. We will continue to evolve our remote learning plans to help keep our students education on track. Please continue to check our social media, app, and website for updates.
Starting Wednesday, April 1st, the lobby area at the main entrance of the school will be unlocked from 9am-8pm so that parents may pick up distance learning packets for students as needed. Completed work does not need to be returned to the school at this time. If possible, please take a picture of completed assignments and email it to your student's teacher.

Report Cards Report cards are now available on teacherease. Please follow the simple steps below. To access a report card you must log in to your teacherease account and then click report card on the left hand side of the screen. Once you do that then you will be presented with the option to click view, do so and the report card will be brought up. You may also print them for your records.

March 20, 2020 Dear Parents/Guardians, Our Accelerated Reader program through Renaissance Learning is challenging students to engage in reading and to continue to build their reading skills. During the mandated school closure, students may take Accelerated Reader tests at home. Students may access the Accelerated Reader tests using the following link. https://global-zone08.renaissance-go.com/welcomeportal/372337 Each student will then log in as if they would at school. They will select “I am a Student” and then enter their login and passwords. They can then proceed as normal to take reading quizzes. In a press conference held today, Governor Pritzker issued a Stay-at-Home Order through April 7 as COVID-19 cases climb. Therefore, school will remain cancelled until that order is lifted. At this time, Odin PSD WILL continue to offer meals to students on the scheduled distribution days. Updates and announcements will continue to be posted on our school website, app, and Facebook page.
Due to lack of interest from families, and to minimize the risk of exposure, meal distribution for the week of 3/23/2020 will be as follows: Monday (3/23) from 11:00-12:30 and Friday (3/27) from 11:00-12:30. Each pack will contain 4 breakfast meals and 4 lunch meals. Buses will NOT be running. All meal packs must be picked up from Odin School during those times.
Back in December, students in 3rd and 4th grade created 4 fleece tie blankets for Project Linus. They spent countless hours cutting and tying blankets. This week, we got a thank you card from Sarah Bush Hospital Children's Department for all their hard work! Go Eagles!

Junior High Families, Friday a letter was sent home explaining the importance of being connected on dojo to ensure we have full communication with our families during any time off. A message was also sent to everyone on dojo requesting a response to see who had access. Along with this, please make sure you have push notifications turned on for the app so you know when something has been sent. Ensuring that everyone is active on this app is crucial during this time off. Dojo will be how attendance is taken every morning. 5 grade check in with Mrs Humes, 6 grade check in with Mrs Coleman, 7 grade check in with Mr Robinson and 8 grade check in with Ms Byars every morning no later than 9 am.

HOF event is still happening Saturday the 14th. Dinner is 5-6:15pm with induction ceremony starting at 6:30pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Come celebrate with us and rub elbows with the some of the founders of the Eagle legacy.

This months Regal Eagle award goes to Mike and Donna Collier. They are by far some of the finest examples of Eagles in the village. When they aren’t spending time with motorcycles or family, they are spending it supporting their village and my favorite school. Yesterday, FFA members and Exploratory Ag students enjoyed their visit from Illinois FFA State Vice President, Mr. Lane Harvey. Members and students enjoyed building towers, creating paper airplanes, and competing with each other in Pictionary. Thank you, Lane, for teaching us about the three pillars that make up FFA and letting us know its okay to have different perspectives.
