Yesterday, FFA members and Exploratory Ag students enjoyed their visit from Illinois FFA State Vice President, Mr. Lane Harvey. Members and students enjoyed building towers, creating paper airplanes, and competing with each other in Pictionary. Thank you, Lane, for teaching us about the three pillars that make up FFA and letting us know its okay to have different perspectives.
Eagles win the first round of the Regionals 62-49 over Hutsonville-Palestine. They play again tomorrow vs North Clay 7:30 at Red Hill. Go Eagles!!!

We are going to start recognizing members of our Eagle community- from citizens of the village to our fine alumni. We are going to acknowledge these people with the honorable “Regal Eagle award”. You can nominate people for this distinguished honor by sending an email to email@example.com with a name and a brief reason why that person should be recognized along with a photograph of that person. We are going to do this monthly and the first “Regal Eagle” is Sam Snodsmith. Sam is forever a great ambassador for our school and village. We appreciate you Sam- Once an Eagle, Always an Eagle.

REMINDER: We have an 11:30 dismissal, tomorrow, Thursday, (2/13). There will be no school on Friday (2/14) for a teacher institute, and there will be no school on Monday (2/17) for President's Day. School will resume on Tuesday (2/18).
Reminder: With flu season upon us, parents are reminded that students who have fevers of 100 or higher, should be kept home and remain out of school until they have been fever free for 24 hours WITHOUT medication.

ATTENTION: Due to the weather, Odin School will be dismissing students at 11:45 TODAY. The homecoming dinner and building tours WILL be from 4pm-6pm this evening. High School Varsity Basketball will play at 6pm tonight at Odin. There will be no JV basketball game.
Tonight will be our annual 8th grade night. We will be honoring those students who are actively involved with any sport or academic activity this year.
